Thanks for visiting my little blog. I will be sharing things that I find helpful and some family things too. If I find something on the vastness of the internet that I deem worthy I will post it here. Have a great day and God bless.

New Items Added.
Hello Friends,
I just added two new items to my Etsy shop and wanted to let you know. I love Pinterest because I get so many ideas from there. This first picture is one of those ideas.
When I first saw this idea I thought how cute it was and what a great use for old ties that you can buy for a dollar at the thrift store. Then I started seeing different ways to embellish them in my mind, so of course I had to try it. This one is just for display purposes on my shop because I thought how fun it would be to turn an old tie that came from someone's grandfather, dad, uncle or brother into a great usuable item. So I am making it a custom order.
I wasn't able to get a picture of my newest apron to download here but you can just click HERE to see it in my shop. It's a beautiful blue plaid apron with lace and buttons.
Well I hope you check out my new items in my shop and have a blessed day.

My Newest Knitting Project
Sorry this isn't the best quality photo. I took it with my cell phone early in the morning..........Anyway, I saw this pattern on the Youtube channel Very Pink Knits and thought how beautiful it looked but never thought I would be able to to it. Then after watching her demonstrate how it's done, I gave it a try and found it isn't very hard at all.
Now I don't know if I would recommend a beginner knitter try this one, but it is pretty easy for someone like me who has been knitting for a few years and if you are familiar with knit, purl, ssk, p2tog, k2tog, m1, and how to pick up stitches knit wise and purl wise you can tackle this project with confidence. And if you need a refresher course on how to do these stitches, she shows you how in the video.
Of course the pattern is using a self striping yarn, which makes the resulting scarf gorgeous, but I didn't have any of the type of yarn that the pattern used so I am using a cream colored wool. I think it works up very nice in this solid color as well. The pattern really stands out beautifully.
I am sharing this picture on the Stitch & Unwind website where they are having a giveaway that is ending today. Go check it out quickly and enter fast before 11:59 pm today 10/12/13. And good luck.
So I will be sharing the final project when I get it done, not sure when that will be, but keep checking back to see.
Are there any other knitters or crocheters out there? I would love to see what you have been working on.
Have a great day.

Handmade Denim Apron
I made this apron from a mans denim shirt. Cut the sleeves off, cut the back off, leave the collar intact, add ties and embellish.
Here is another apron that I made out of the back of the same shirt that the above apron was made from. Here I added a neck strap, two pockets made out of other denim and embellished with scrap fabric, and waist ties.
And here is the link to the website with the tutorial for making these aprons.
And here is a link to a website that shows many different aprons made and gives you oodles of ideas for your own.

Crocheted Beaded Bracelets
I love to crochet and knit, among other crafts, and I made up a bunch of these crocheted beaded bracelets a while back with seed beads and other beads from my collection. I would love to sell these for $10 a piece plus shipping. You can contact me at salgal861@yahoo.com if you would like to know more about the bracelets.
