Water, Walking, and Wildlife

We traveled to Ithaca, NY over the weekend. What a beautiful place to visit. I have posted pictures of the bird webcams on here in the past and we were able to see the nests of the Great Blue Heron and the Red Tailed Hawk in person.  Then we walked on some of the many paths that you can find in Sapsucker woods. Here is a picture of a pond we saw along one of those paths. It was such a beautiful day.
                                                                          My sister.
                                                   My husband, sons, and brother-in-law.
The frogs were very happy to pose for my camera.

This one was a little shy so he hid behind the leaves. He was a big one.
This one was sitting right in the middle of the pond on a branch or something sticking up out of the water.
And here is Mr. Turtle sunning himself on a moss covered log.
Beautiful water falls. I think this was at Falls Creek. My husband is in the red t-shirt in the foreground.

The falls were just beautiful. I loved the white of the falling water and the green of the trees with the blue of the sky.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Till next time.

    1. Hi Andrea,
Thanks for your comments. I checked out your blog just now and loved the tutorials and I just love vintage things too. I see you have a dachsund. We have one too. She is a mini long-haired who is 6 years old. Yours is adorable.

      Have a great day.

  3. SallyAnn,

I grew up back East and truly do miss the mountains and our family vacations to upstate New York (not the bugs so much, though). Love those falls ...

... and thanks so much for linking up to our link party!

Wow - that waterfall is amazing!! We just took my girls to a fabulous park in Long Valley NJ a couple of weeks ago and hiked through the woods and saw some waterfalls - but nothing like that!

Looks like a beautiful way to spend the day - frogs and all (my girls probably would have had one stow away for the ride home)!

So glad you joined our Great Outdoors party!
