I will be sharing things that I find helpful and some family things too. If I find something on the vastness of the internet that I deem worthy I will post it here. I just didn't take the time to do it is the only excuse I have. Pretty lame, but true. But I have found something worthy of my readers that I need to share.
I just read an article on a website I have never visited before and I really liked what the author had to say so I wanted to share it with all of you. The website is <a href="http://www.mesewcrazy.com/">The Sewing Rabbit</a>, and the article was written by <a href="http://www.mesewcrazy.com/about-me-2">Jess Abbott</a> who is the Sewing Rabbit. The title of the article is <a href="http://www.mesewcrazy.com/2015/02/how-to-be-insanely-happy-with-your-diy-without-changing-a-thing.html">How To Be Insanely Happy With Your DIY, Without Changing A Thing.</a>
I hope you take the time to read it because I feel it could help you if you struggle with doubts about not only your DIY ability, but also other areas of your life where you just don't think you are good enough. Don't ever think that about yourself. I have before and it does no good. Just be happy with whatever ability you have been blessed with and PLEASE don't compare yourself with ANYONE else's. That will just bring you down where you don't want or need to be. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.mesewcrazy.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/1comparisonthiefofjoy_large.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://www.mesewcrazy.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/1comparisonthiefofjoy_large.jpg" /></a></div>

Have an awesome day.SallyAnnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09713969149395686916noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6215398349835892055.post-24052533810456204242014-09-05T09:06:00.002-04:002014-09-05T09:12:02.521-04:00New Items Added.Hello Friends,
I just added two new items to my Etsy shop and wanted to let you know. I love Pinterest because I get so many ideas from there. This first picture is one of those ideas.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LiL4fuxBc-0/VAmxCuK0qrI/AAAAAAAABcg/S-cv8qnoEB4/s1600/P0003_090414.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LiL4fuxBc-0/VAmxCuK0qrI/AAAAAAAABcg/S-cv8qnoEB4/s320/P0003_090414.jpg" /></a></div>
When I first saw this idea I thought how cute it was and what a great use for old ties that you can buy for a dollar at the thrift store. Then I started seeing different ways to embellish them in my mind, so of course I had to try it. This one is just for display purposes on my shop because I thought how fun it would be to turn an old tie that came from someone's grandfather, dad, uncle or brother into a great usuable item. So I am making it a custom order.
I wasn't able to get a picture of my newest apron to download here but you can just click <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/202346501/apron-art-smock-craft-show-money-keeper?ref=shop_home_active_2">HERE</a> to see it in my shop. It's a beautiful blue plaid apron with lace and buttons.
Well I hope you check out my new items in my shop and have a blessed day.

Sorry that I haven't posted in about 4 months time. I have let other things in my life get in the way. But today I have something fun to share with all of you. It is a <a href="http://www.iclassygirl.com/workshops/womens-empowerment-art-journal-workshop/">FREE Art Journaling</a> course that I myself am taking. It is a lot of fun and did I mention FREE? Tiare Smith of <a href="http://www.tiaresmith.com/">Tiare Smith Designs</a> is the lovely lady who is the instructor of the course. She makes it easy to be creative. She gives you step by step ways to bring your creativity out and she also includes lists for supplies that you need and some that are helpful but not needed. And what I like about her instructions is that she shows that you can use everyday items for some of the things you need, which means it won't cost a lot to get started. Yay!
So go on over to Tiare's site and sign up to start getting your creative juices flowing onto your very own Art Journal. It is so much fun to create an art journal. You can put anything in it that you desire. Have fun with it and if you would like to share any of your work here or with Tiare, that would be wonderful.

Shoshanna from the <a href="http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Herbs/Powder" target="_blank">Bulk Herb Store</a> has made a video showing you how easy it is to make paints for the kids out of herbs. So many colors to make too. Red, yellow, green, black, and more. All made from food so you know they are safe and non-toxic. And it is something the kids can help you with.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
Enjoy.<br /><br />

Again Shoshanna shows us how to make something that we use a lot look very easy and much better for us than the store bought version. And even though she uses tins that you can buy, she tells you that you don't have to buy anything special to put the finished product in. You can use containers that you might have around the house.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
So watch and enjoy.<br /><br />

Here is a little reminder if you didn't see that post.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kr2Wus95j88/UyG03FT3vVI/AAAAAAAABWs/hMxIDVfMnDQ/s1600/IMAG0646.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kr2Wus95j88/UyG03FT3vVI/AAAAAAAABWs/hMxIDVfMnDQ/s320/IMAG0646.jpg" /></a></div>
So today I have to post this new photo which was taken just 10 days after that one and in the same state.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r-Ef-eETmNs/UyG1S-f7mtI/AAAAAAAABW0/ma-WQZi9QV8/s1600/Resampled_2014-03-11_16-13-15_818.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r-Ef-eETmNs/UyG1S-f7mtI/AAAAAAAABW0/ma-WQZi9QV8/s320/Resampled_2014-03-11_16-13-15_818.jpg" /></a></div>
The temperature was in the high 50's that day. I knew that I just had to take advantage of the divine warm weather and dry some laundry outside. That is one of my favorite things about warm weather, the ability to dry your laundry in the bright sunshine and warm breezes.
But isn't the weather in the Northeast just crazy???? I know others are experiencing weather just as crazy elsewhere too. And I am sure that we all are ready for this cold "stuff" to be gone so that we can peel off some layers and let the suns' warmth sink deep into our bones.
Until then I thank God for the blessing of my cozy fire from our little wood stove. And the hard working husband who cut and stacked all the wood we needed to keep it going.
Have an awesome day!

And because you can feel through her blog how much she truly cares for the people she is reaching out to. And today I find in her latest post this video about Victor Marx and his battle with abuse that he went through most of his childhood. It is such a moving story and I highly recommend that you watch it and then share it.<br /><br />

You never know what you will find at a flea market.......Unfortunately I didn't find anything that I couldn't live without. Oh well.
But we continued our ride and after stopping for a bite to eat we headed for a park where we saw some frozen waterfalls.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nEEuvkT7mss/UxOzh7xF1dI/AAAAAAAABTQ/MtBodqpsXgo/s1600/IMAG0646.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nEEuvkT7mss/UxOzh7xF1dI/AAAAAAAABTQ/MtBodqpsXgo/s320/IMAG0646.jpg" /></a></div>
It is hard to tell how tall these falls were in this picture. I took it with my little cell phone camera. But the next one
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GAAqs9RJtKM/UxOz254U2qI/AAAAAAAABTY/AuSXriA4UQ0/s1600/IMAG0647.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GAAqs9RJtKM/UxOz254U2qI/AAAAAAAABTY/AuSXriA4UQ0/s320/IMAG0647.jpg" /></a></div>
shows the stairs that go along the falls all the way up to the top. I am putting this park on our summertime hiking fun list for sure.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-A5WXQ0Rg7aQ/UxO0UZygCOI/AAAAAAAABTs/EPa_jAJVIbE/s1600/IMAG0648.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-A5WXQ0Rg7aQ/UxO0UZygCOI/AAAAAAAABTs/EPa_jAJVIbE/s320/IMAG0648.jpg" /></a></div>
And we will have to remember to bring our bathing suits with us because this picture shows a circular stone steps leading into what is a swimming hole at the bottom of the falls. How fun and refreshing that will be after hiking the hills around the falls and in the park. Then eating a picnic lunch at one of the picnic tables we saw there. Oh, I can't wait!
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C-v87GF0G6M/UxO1jqd4VGI/AAAAAAAABT8/H6MTPbNHoFM/s1600/IMAG0649.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C-v87GF0G6M/UxO1jqd4VGI/AAAAAAAABT8/H6MTPbNHoFM/s320/IMAG0649.jpg" /></a></div>
And even though it was very cold we had smiles on our faces because we were having a good time together as a family. Even though my two sons didn't want to get in the pictures they were there enjoying themselves.
We also stopped at a very nice shop that sold handmade wooden furniture and collectibles. Here are some shots I took inside.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U8gzhrj-wzk/UxO34csZpTI/AAAAAAAABUY/uHawrgKYXs8/s1600/IMAG0652.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U8gzhrj-wzk/UxO34csZpTI/AAAAAAAABUY/uHawrgKYXs8/s320/IMAG0652.jpg" /></a></div>
As you can see the store was nicely decorated and very full of such lovely treasures.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xmwAfrXIe1M/UxO4QGTVv8I/AAAAAAAABUg/PlzrdBNkEu8/s1600/IMAG0653.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xmwAfrXIe1M/UxO4QGTVv8I/AAAAAAAABUg/PlzrdBNkEu8/s320/IMAG0653.jpg" /></a></div>
Pottery
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lj9TMFLkYn4/UxO4QLCqp5I/AAAAAAAABUk/2XeUfuWaGu0/s1600/IMAG0654.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lj9TMFLkYn4/UxO4QLCqp5I/AAAAAAAABUk/2XeUfuWaGu0/s320/IMAG0654.jpg" /></a></div>
Ready for Easter
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-koGP2Elf_To/UxO41qJu8mI/AAAAAAAABUw/xZ5GKs-Jxww/s1600/IMAG0655.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-koGP2Elf_To/UxO41qJu8mI/AAAAAAAABUw/xZ5GKs-Jxww/s320/IMAG0655.jpg" /></a></div>
The back porch was chocked full of wonderful benches, stools, tables, cupboards, and signs. Beautiful wood pieces.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QDoQnn-3RZ8/UxO5TvAZoiI/AAAAAAAABU8/0f1Fb0Y0PrQ/s1600/IMAG0656.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QDoQnn-3RZ8/UxO5TvAZoiI/AAAAAAAABU8/0f1Fb0Y0PrQ/s320/IMAG0656.jpg" /></a></div>
We just loved this table and bench.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2aHXP_6rgbc/UxO5TmtmwWI/AAAAAAAABVA/R2sLsyvbthw/s1600/IMAG0657.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2aHXP_6rgbc/UxO5TmtmwWI/AAAAAAAABVA/R2sLsyvbthw/s320/IMAG0657.jpg" /></a></div>
And isn't this such a unique chess set.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EriK-yY0Osk/UxO6XoSXftI/AAAAAAAABVU/Lo7tOqw0coI/s1600/IMAG0658.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EriK-yY0Osk/UxO6XoSXftI/AAAAAAAABVU/Lo7tOqw0coI/s320/IMAG0658.jpg" /></a></div>
And on our way out I spotted this trio. When I was a little girl we heated with wood stoves and we had one similar to this one. And I hope you can see that old cash register behind the chair.
Well we had a wonderful time on our day trip today and I hope you enjoy looking at the photos I took. Thanks for visiting.
Have an awesome day.

This video is so much fun to watch and I think it makes a good statement with all the guys dressed in shirts and ties telling girls how beautiful they are when they choose to dress modestly. I really like Jacqueline's blog and the way she lovingly reaches out to young women. <br /><br />

It looks so pretty coming down, then the reality of having to deal with it sets in and though it is still pretty you really wish there wasn't so much pretty. So we got all dressed warmly and grabbed the shovels,
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mvoDWH3EUw4/UvfgxEHgHqI/AAAAAAAABSE/ABELZl8APDM/s1600/IMAG0617.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mvoDWH3EUw4/UvfgxEHgHqI/AAAAAAAABSE/ABELZl8APDM/s320/IMAG0617.jpg" /></a></div>
And gassed up the snow blower, and started moving the 12 inches of pretty off the vehicles and out of the driveway.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZrbHFYvf6lM/UvfiNwu1G_I/AAAAAAAABSc/_kfCQmgvOzY/s1600/IMAG0618.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZrbHFYvf6lM/UvfiNwu1G_I/AAAAAAAABSc/_kfCQmgvOzY/s320/IMAG0618.jpg" /></a></div>
And you know how the snowplow likes to fill in the very end of the driveway with that heavy wet packed snow from the road? Well my son tackled that with our little snow blower that I bought at a yard sale 2 summers ago for $10. What a job he did with it too.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u8usmDBVBwk/Uvfi_O-T9SI/AAAAAAAABSo/XNu-2QaNeH8/s1600/IMAG0624.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u8usmDBVBwk/Uvfi_O-T9SI/AAAAAAAABSo/XNu-2QaNeH8/s320/IMAG0624.jpg" /></a></div>
And sometimes the snow that collects in between the two vehicles may be the hardest to remove. You have to scoop, walk over to the other side, and throw the shovel full on to the pile.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-op53f9UpFa8/Uvfj1lNjNmI/AAAAAAAABS0/KMLeRQ-J1l0/s1600/IMAG0621.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-op53f9UpFa8/Uvfj1lNjNmI/AAAAAAAABS0/KMLeRQ-J1l0/s320/IMAG0621.jpg" /></a></div>
What a complainer! Sorry about that. I really am very grateful that we are blessed to have so many strong arms to shovel and snow blow, and what a blessing to have that little snowblower too. And now that I think about it, all this snow is going to be beneficial this Spring when we start our gardens.
So I will stop my complaining and wish you all an awesome day.
P.S. As I was typing this it is snowing and the snowplow went by and filled in the end of our driveway again. :o) SallyAnnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09713969149395686916noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6215398349835892055.post-87424204845383356442014-02-09T11:19:00.001-05:002014-03-03T20:57:42.090-05:00How to Make Yogurt in a Cardboard Box (+playlist)This is a good video to watch. It shows how easy it can be to make your own yogurt at home without needing a yogurt maker. I have been wanting to make my own for a while now but didn't think I could without a special appliance. So I am going to buy some plain yogurt and use my crock pot and see how it turns out. I will post when I have done it. <br /><br />

This is the other twin, CindyKay. SallyAnn and her family had somewhat of a sad Christmas this year. Unfortunately, her father-in-law who has been ill for a while now has gone to be with the Lord on Christmas morning. <br />
It has been a hard Christmas I think for a lot of people this year and my heart goes out to SallyAnn, Bill, Robbie and Ryan, and all of those whose Christmas was a bit different from other Christmas' in the past.<br />
My prayer for the new year is for people to have a more peaceful and prosperous 2014.<br />
May God Richly Bless You All.CindyKayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13006497898160051656noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6215398349835892055.post-13253458874228098622013-10-29T16:26:00.002-04:002013-10-29T16:29:40.074-04:00Hi. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h0PFP2IE6U4/UIMNvxcDo6I/AAAAAAAAC08/Iu6egNYfl3U/s400/frenchbread2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h0PFP2IE6U4/UIMNvxcDo6I/AAAAAAAAC08/Iu6egNYfl3U/s320/frenchbread2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I needed a supper idea that used ground beef which I had waiting to be cooked in the frig. So I opened up my <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/billsgal/" target="_blank">Pinterest</a> page and looked on my <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/billsgal/eating-healthy/" target="_blank">Eating Healthy</a> board and found this recipe for <a href="http://eatcakefordinner.blogspot.com/2011/10/stuffed-french-bread.html?showComment=1382181305904#c7981129931664595393" target="_blank">Stuffed French Bread </a>over at <a href="http://eatcakefordinner.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Eat Cake For Dinner</a>. It looked easy enough, which is one of the main requirements for me to make something new, and it had ingredients in it that my whole family would eat as well, so I thought I would give it a try.<br />
<br />
Am I glad I did! It was very easy to make, it didn't take very long to pull together, and my whole family ate it up. I tweaked the recipe a little to accommodate my families tastes, like omitting the Worcestershire sauce. And I also used a loaf of whole wheat bread because that is what we like. For me it made enough for two loaves full so we had more than enough for a couple of meals. Very economical.<br />
<br />
Thanks so much to Jenn for sharing this recipe. Head on over to her <a href="http://eatcakefordinner.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">website</a> for even more great recipes to choose from. I hope you all try it soon. I know you will like it.<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-490f8zRrMLo/UllAAqlpVJI/AAAAAAAABPI/pA23cDSg7I8/s1600/Entralac+scarf+WIP+10+12+13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-490f8zRrMLo/UllAAqlpVJI/AAAAAAAABPI/pA23cDSg7I8/s320/Entralac+scarf+WIP+10+12+13.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Sorry this isn't the best quality photo. I took it with my cell phone early in the morning..........Anyway, I saw this pattern on the Youtube channel <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4GGXzurphk&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLDA6731744DE6295D" target="_blank">Very Pink Knits</a> and thought how beautiful it looked but never thought I would be able to to it. Then after watching her demonstrate how it's done, I gave it a try and found it isn't very hard at all.<br />
<br />
Now I don't know if I would recommend a beginner knitter try this one, but it is pretty easy for someone like me who has been knitting for a few years and if you are familiar with knit, purl, ssk, p2tog, k2tog, m1, and how to pick up stitches knit wise and purl wise you can tackle this project with confidence. And if you need a refresher course on how to do these stitches, she shows you how in the video.<br />
<br />
Of course the pattern is using a self striping yarn, which makes the resulting scarf gorgeous, but I didn't have any of the type of yarn that the pattern used so I am using a cream colored wool. I think it works up very nice in this solid color as well. The pattern really stands out beautifully.<br />
<br />
I am sharing this picture on the <a href="http://stitchandunwind.com/celebrate-i-love-yarn-day/" target="_blank">Stitch & Unwind</a> website where they are having a giveaway that is ending today. Go check it out quickly and enter fast before 11:59 pm today 10/12/13. And good luck.<br />
<br />
So I will be sharing the final project when I get it done, not sure when that will be, but keep checking back to see.<br />
<br />
Are there any other knitters or crocheters out there? I would love to see what you have been working on.<br />
<br />
Have a great day.<br />

<br />
<br />
<span id="goog_2014538865"></span><span id="goog_2014538866"></span>It is apple time here at our house. We only have 3 apple trees in our back yard but they are producing like crazy this year. What a blessing. But now I have to figure out what to do with this abundance. So I went looking on Pinterest for apple recipes and thought I would share them with all of you.<br />
<br />
The first one I liked is from Hyancinth at <a href="http://www.undercovermother.net/2011/09/living-healthfully-baked-apple-pie.html" target="_blank">Undercover Mothe</a>r who shares her recipe for Baked Apple Pie Oatmeal. I love her little story about not wanting to get out of her cozy warm bed where her two little ones have joined her. I can remember those days.<br />
<br />
I tried this one and it is extremely easy to put together even at 10:30 at night and you are so tired you can't keep your eyes open. I am so glad that I did take the time to do it because eating a delicious, hot breakfast the next morning without having to do anything but dish it up, made it worth the effort the night before. I would highly recommend you try this soon. It is perfect for these cooler mornings, and for sending the kids off to school with a warm start.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6bn48mSWAIs/TnydpCn65KI/AAAAAAAACZ0/zLf3rtaUXE0/s400/oatmeal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6bn48mSWAIs/TnydpCn65KI/AAAAAAAACZ0/zLf3rtaUXE0/s320/oatmeal.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Baked Apple Pie Oatmeal</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
I also whipped up some homemade applesauce. I had a few pears that were getting past their prime so I peeled, sliced, and added them as well. No sugar. Added some water and let them cook till soft, stirring occasionally. Yummmmmm.<br />
<br />
<br />
Then I found this recipe for <a href="http://www.mommyrunfast.com/family-recipes/recipes/?recipe_id=6034683" target="_blank">Pumpkin Pb Raisin Ball</a> from Laura over at <a href="http://www.mommyrunfast.com/" target="_blank">Mommy Run Fast</a> that looked easy to do and that always catches my attention. So I made a batch of them but flattened them out and turned them into cookies instead.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bdcK4k-kXh8/Uj7K4i7s8hI/AAAAAAAABOk/__XHD3oOPoQ/s1600/IMAG0329.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bdcK4k-kXh8/Uj7K4i7s8hI/AAAAAAAABOk/__XHD3oOPoQ/s320/IMAG0329.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1H_pwAylC60/Uj7K5c9oHpI/AAAAAAAABOo/Lzij6qFUop8/s1600/IMAG0331.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1H_pwAylC60/Uj7K5c9oHpI/AAAAAAAABOo/Lzij6qFUop8/s320/IMAG0331.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The top photo is of the cookies before they went into the oven and the bottom one is of them after they came out of the oven. You can see they don't change much. And I didn't put cocoa in them only because I didn't have any. They turned out good and not too sweet. I liked them very much.<br />
<br />
I made some icing from 10x sugar, butter, vanilla, and almond milk for my husband to put on them because he wouldn't eat them otherwise. Not sweet enough for him. But my son, who doesn't like to eat much sugar, decided to top his with some of the homemade applesauce. Genius! So I tried that and man was that good too!<br />
<br />
